TERRA PAVILION

The Terra Pavilion is a weekend home designed for a couple who enjoy art, cooking, and spending time with friends. Located next to a golf course, the pavilion offers flexible spaces for leisure, social gatherings, and quiet retreats. The structure is designed to remain open to the landscape during pleasant weather, while large sliding doors allow it to be enclosed during the monsoon or hotter months. Inside, the space can function as one large open area or be divided into smaller zones, depending on the activity. At the center, a suspended spiral staircase acts as a visual anchor and connects the main pavilion to the lower “earth level.” This lower floor contains bedrooms and a private lounge, all of which open into sunken courtyards. The earth level’s solid and enclosed feel contrasts with the light, open nature of the upper pavilion, creating a balance between shelter and openness throughout the home.
