GF148 Greenfields Home consists of two near-square volumes connected by corridors on the upper levels, allowing light and movement to circulate across the structure. North-facing openings bring in soft, diffused light that moves through the interiors and across the stone floors. Circulation is organized through a sequence of staggered levels and corridors, with staircases placed to create visual connections between spaces. A jharokha frames key views, while enfilade arrangements provide layered sightlines through the house.
The design incorporates ancestral furniture and traditional materials like wood and Kota stone, embedding familiar elements into the spatial framework. The living area adapts to different needs, enclosed or opened through a sliding screen. A Pichwai painting is placed to span two floors, creating a vertical visual anchor within the home. Boundaries between rooms are replaced with thresholds and level changes, defining zones while maintaining openness. These shifts support both movement and moments of pause throughout the house.
